The picture above shows clearly the new cab built up on the Marklin body. The sides are 20 thou (½ mm) thick while the roof is made up of laminations to form a solid block which is then filed to shape. In this way, the cab becomes quite robust. Another small addition was an exhaust stack made from a piece of brass wire with a small section of brass tube slipped over it. The lower picture shows the finished item in service.
