The image
here shows the sort of scene which might be modelled. Its on the Nidd Valley
Railway in Yorkshire, UK. In this case, the siding on my plan could be replaced
by a loco shed. The rising ground to the rear of the scene makes a perfect
backdrop to the layout, while the fence can be used to camouflage the transition
from the modelled scenery to the painted backscene.
